The Founder Challenge

Packaging manufacturers and suppliers face growing regulatory pressure to disclose full Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) data and carbon metrics for every SKU. However, traditional LCA software required weeks of consultant auditing and tens of thousands of dollars per calculation.

The founders of Pickler envisioned an automated, instant carbon footprint calculation engine that could embed directly into packaging checkout workflows and inventory management systems.

The AFTERMAN Engineering Solution

AFTERMAN assigned a dedicated squad of 1 Principal Architect, 2 Full-Stack Engineers, and 1 UX/UI Designer. Over a 2.5-month sprint, we built:

• Automated LCA Calculation Pipeline: High-performance Python backend converting raw material compositions, transport distances, and energy usage into verified CO2e scores in milliseconds.
• Interactive Sustainability Badges: Dynamic SVG widgets for e-commerce checkouts allowing end customers to offset packaging emissions.
• Supplier Dashboard: Clean, glassmorphic analytics portal for managing SKU catalogs, exporting ISO-compliant PDF reports, and benchmarking supplier sustainability.
